Wildflower Fabric Project Ideas

The groundhog may say we’re in store for a few more weeks of winter this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start sewing for spring! If you’re looking for some bright, cheerful fabrics to put you in that warm weather sewing mood, be sure to check out the brand new “Wildflower Meadow” line available in the Martha Pullen Store. Designed by Melly & Me at Riley Blake Fabrics, these coordinating 100 percent cotton fabric prints are so pretty and perfect for spring and summer projects. Check out a few fun project ideas below:

Summer Separates – This adorable pattern from our Sew Beautiful Collection comes in sizes 3-14. Three bodice styles offer options for a dress, top or tunic along with elastic waist cropped pants that can be worn open legged, cinched or cut to make shorts. Sew it up using the Widflower Main Multi for the main print and Wildflower Spot Yellow for the accent fabric.

Betsy Apron – These fabrics aren’t just for little ones. Sis Boom’s Betsy apron (girl’s size 3 to women’s 3x) would be picture perfect made in Wildflower Flower Hot Pink with the lighter coordinating Wildflower Flower Pink used for the wide waistband.

Precious Dress – This sweet dress from The Scientific Seamstress comes in sizes 3M to 10Y and is a great style for applique, embroidery and embellishment. Make it in Wildflower Birds Red or Wildflower Birds Pink or for a casual, whimsical look.

Sis Boom Baby Bubble – This precious baby bubble from Sis Boom comes in sizes preemie to 24M. How adorable would this bubble look recreated in the Wildflower Main Pink print?

A-line Tops and Dresses – This Scientific Seamstress pattern has an adorable boutique look and comes in sizes 3M to 8Y. The custom A-line can be made in top, shift or dress lengths, and a free bonus matching doll pattern is included. Try recreating the look using Wildflower Flower Pink for the main print and Wildflower Flower Hot Pink for the letter applique.
