Great Techniques to Learn this Summer

Our summer licensing retreats are just around the corner, and I am so excited to see all of you who will be joining us! Both events – The Perfect Mix: Sew, Serge and Embellish July 21-26 and Children’s Garment Construction July 28-Aug. 2 – will be held at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL and taught by Alicia Welcher, Connie Palmer, Peggy Dilbone, Martha Pullen and me. You’ll receive 20 project kits, learn a ton of techniques and receive credentials that allow you to teach the licensing projects (but if you don’t want to teach and just want to come to the best sewing vacation ever, that’s OK too)! If you haven’t signed up yet, do so today so you won’t miss out on all the fun!

Speaking of great sewing instruction, we’re having an 80% off sale on our DVDs this week! These DVDs are full of great projects and techniques, and having the teachers “talk” to you and share special tips and tricks makes it feel like you are in a classroom. Here are just a few of my favorite DVD workshops you can take part in:

Antique Sewing Techniques I – Nobody can teach heirloom sewing like Martha Pullen, and this DVD covers so many great techniques. I love how Martha shows pieces and shares stories from her own antique collection as she walks you through recreating the techniques by machine. You’ll learn all about box pleats, folded tucks and much more.

Missy’s Sweet Baby Quilt – This keepsake quilt is the perfect baby gift, and you’ll learn so many wonderful quilting, machine embroidery and serger techniques as you make it! You will love having Missy as your teacher as you master serger puffing and pintucks and so much more. A bonus instructional PDF plus two machine embroidery applique frame designs are included with the DVD.

Lace Shaping – You will be making exquisite lace shapes in no time with Martha Pullen’s help on this DVD. Martha starts at the very beginning and explains everything from the various supplies you need for lace shaping to how to create lace hearts, bows, diamonds and more using various lace-shaping methods.

Secrets to Stitching Bullion Whimsies – Learn everything you need to know about stitching bullions with the Queen of Whimsy herself, Kari Mecca! Kari covers the three types of bullion designs – outlined, solid-filled and satin-filled – and shares all of her bullion secrets as you stitch everything from traditional roses to cupcakes.

Click here to shop all our DVD workshops and save 80% off through Friday, June 19!

We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.

Much Love to You All & May God Bless,
