We’re just a little over a month away from our two summer licensings in Palm Harbor, FL! Both events – The Perfect Mix: Sew, Serge and Embellish July 21-26 and Children’s Garment Construction July 28-Aug. 2 – will be held at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort and we still have a couple open seats if you’d like to join us! You will spend the week with me, Alicia Welcher, Connie Palmer, Peggy Dilbone and Martha Pullen, and experience more fun, entertainment and laughter than you could ever imagine while learning an enormous number of techniques and using great fabrics and trims to create 20 fabulous projects.
We also just opened registration for an Afternoon Tea with Martha Pullen that will take place between the Florida licensing events on Monday, July 27 at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. Registrants for both licensing events will get in free and the general public can purchase tickets to just come for the tea. I invite you to join Martha for this special afternoon of stories, sharing and learning. We’ll also have a shopping area with very special pricing featuring many of the hard-to-find heirloom supplies. Mini clinics from our licensing faculty and the teaching staff of Keep Me in Stitches, our partnering Baby Lock dealer, will be ongoing for you to discover new products and techniques!
Need to stock your fabric stash? Our Martha’s Classic Cotton is 50 percent off through Sunday, June 21! There is a five yard minimum purchase for the discount, and the colors we have available are: white, yellow, robin’s egg, royal blue, pink, orange, navy, lime, hot pink, chocolate and more. This solid 100 percent cotton broadcloth is 60 inches wide and wonderful to have on hand for all kinds of sewing projects.
As an added bonus, the colors of our Martha’s Classic Cotton solids perfectly match our array of mini-check gingham as well as our bias and piping, making it so easy to coordinate your fabric and trims. Here are a couple of adorable projects you can make using Martha’s Classic Cotton and other products available from our online store:
Puffed Sleeve Dress – The precious dress is made using the “Perfectly Simple Puffed Sleeve Dress” pattern from Kari Mecca’s Sewing with Whimsy book. The full skirt gathers at the waist behind a wide gingham sash that complements the collar, sleeves and skirt embellishments. The fabric is Martha’s Classic Cotton and coordinating pre-made bias and piping.
Heirloom Dress – This gorgeous pattern is from Wendy Schoen’s Creating Heirlooms for Baby book. The neckline adaptation is featured in issue #130 of Sew Beautiful (available in the Sew Beautiful 2010 Collection), and the fabric is Martha’s Classic Cotton and Dotted Swiss. The sash is made using Swiss embroideries and silk satin ribbon, and the machine embroidery is from the “Creating Heirlooms for Baby” CDs by Wendy Schoen.
We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.
Much Love to You All & May God Bless,
