Vintage Tucked Lace Gown – Embroidery Design

This sweet and simple design of scattered flowers and leaves is a replica taken from an antique blessing gown reproduced by Laurie Anderson for the Tucked Lace Gown pattern and instructions featured in the March/April 2013 Issue (#147) of Sew Beautiful magazine.

The monochromatic design stitches out in one color and is represented on the gown in white-on-white, but can also be stitched ecru-on-white if preferred. We suggest a cotton 50 to 60-weight thread for an authentic antique look, as rayon threads tend to offer a high sheen affect.
