Please accept my personal invitation for you to come to our February 2011, School of Art Fashion. In 2011 we will be celebrating 30 years of serving you from Martha Pullen Company.

Martha Pullen Company has been committed to bringing you quality fabrics, laces and trims for heirloom sewing for the past 30 years. We always want to bring you the latest and greatest sewing notions and supplies to make your sewing easier and more fun! Join us as we celebrate the 30th Birthday of the Martha Pullen Company at the School of Art Fashion, February 6-13, 2011.

Registration opens September 8, 2010 at 8:00am CST. Please call 800-547-4176, X4 to register. This school is all about YOU and helping YOU to learn fabulous sewing and heirloom techniques that we have enjoyed teaching for 29 years!!! First, I want to thank Baby Lock, Bernina, Husqvarna/Viking, and Pfaff for sending machines and teachers! Without their help, I just don’t know what we would do! We have so many fabulous schools and teachers and some really big excitement from Baby Lock. Baby Lock will give fabulous door prizes—a Baby Lock
machine or serger EVERY SINGLE DAY! Thanks, Baby Lock, for these fabulous door prizes! We will also have a special gift for everyone every day and an extra special gift for everyone at the banquet. The pre-day classes are more exciting than ever, and many people come for the whole week of pre-day classes as well as the four-day school. About half of our students are here for the very first time at each school.
The others have come from 2 times to 35 times in the past!! I’m not kidding! Do not be afraid to come alone. You will have new best friends as soon as you arrive, and we will take very good care of you, I promise. By the way, this is the best “girlfriend getaway trip” that we can possibly think of—that is, if your girlfriend loves to sew!!! If her hobby is cooking, she won’t find much in the way of classes, because we do all of the cooking for you this week!

Our schools have grown and developed into such wonderful events over the past years. We love producing this school so that YOU, the most
important reason that we have the schools, can experience the joy and excitement of learning new sewing techniques. The sewing machine
companies are so generous in sending teachers, machines and assistants at their own cost, that we absolutely could not offer this school without their help. Many of you already know that we have the world’s greatest staff. They will be offering an enormous amount of their energy and care to ensure that you have one of the best times of your life. We have 13 fabulous schools to choose from, and I promise that one of them will be perfect for you. Our list of schools is spectacular!! As always, we will have the fabulous Beginning Heirloom School where you will make a gorgeous christening gown or party dress. Debbie Glenn will be back to mesmerize you with her fine sewing techniques. The Gail Doane Sewing for Girls School will feature fine construction, smocking and handwork. Michié Mooney will show you the basics of constructing and smocking garments for children. The Louise Cutting Fashion School will include stylish clothing and great techniques. Kari Mecca’s Embellishing School will have surprises galore. Wendy Schoen’s Baby School is the place to perfect your heirloom techniques and hand shadow work embroidery. Lezette Thomason will thrill you with her techniques for construction in the classic children’s clothing construction school with Bernina. We are so excited to have Sue Pennington Stewart with us in the Pfaff/Zundt School where embroidery magic will happen! The Viking School features Sue Hausmann and Peggy Dilbone in the most exciting Viking School ever offered. Baby Lock is presenting NOT ONE, BUT THREE SCHOOLS! The Baby Lock Sew & Serge for Babies School features sewing and serging with Pam Mahshie and Missy Billingsley. The second Baby Lock School is an explosion of creativity that includes sewing, embroidery, the Embellisher and the BL Sashiko machine with Evy Hawkins! And the third Baby Lock School features heirloom sewing with the talented Connie Palmer.

We furnish bus transportation from the hotels across the street to the convention center in the morning and back to the hotels at night.
Our retail store in the Von Braun Center will be open Monday through Sunday. In the store you will find discounts on many items including
fabrics, laces and sewing notions.

On Thursday night, we will begin the celebration with my official greeting to the group. Thursday night is also the Potato Bar and Table Top Clinic night. This is a great night to snap lots of pictures. Right after the tabletops, I will give a presentation on how “You Can Make Money from Your Hobby.” Friday night will be a special celebration. Sue Hausmann and Kathy Barnard will join me for the 30th Birthday Fashion& Follies. There will be fashions, singing, dancing and lots of fun. Joe and I will host a barbecue at the Huntsville Museum of Art on Saturday night. It is a beautiful place, and we will be serving delicious Southern barbecue as well as homemade pies. I conduct an optional Sunday school class at 7:30am at the Von Braun Center on Sunday morning. Kelly Garner, my favorite Christian songwriter and singer, is coming from Nashville to sing for us during the Sunday school. I would love to see you there.

We can’t wait to see you in February 2011 at the Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion. Whether you are a returning student for the 35th time
or you are coming for the very first time, I can’t wait to see all of you. “Sewing Made Easy” is our business motto, and I promise you will experience this when you come to our school. We have the world’s best instructors. They are wonderful teachers and loving, caring individuals. I am pleased to tell you that we have the world’s nicest staff. We invite you to come for the sewing vacation of a lifetime.

I cannot wait for you to come to the February school. We will be waiting for you.
