Watch our Serger, Serger! video preview:

We’re just a couple weeks away from kicking off our brand new online licensing, Serger, Serger! Fundamentals and Creative Flourishes. I shared a special sneak peek with you when we opened registration, and today I’d like to tell all of you a little more about all the serging fun in store. The curriculum for this course includes all of the projects and techniques shared in our face-to-face Serger II licensing retreats – it is a beautiful collection of projects ranging from garments to home decor to bags and more.

The curriculum includes a total of more than 24 beautiful projects. There are heirloom projects for little ones, ranging from a christening gown to bonnets to a darling little girls dress. There are three beautiful quilts. There are garments for women including a sleepwear set and the fabulous Serger Technique Jacket. There are home decor projects like placemats and napkins and Christmas stockings. There is even a sweet little doll dress, a really handy scrap caddy for your serger, a garment bag and more.

We’ll show you how to create each one of these projects through both written instructions and video tutorials. When the course is over, those written instructions become your lesson plans for teaching the projects in your own serger classrooms! You’ll also get all sorts of serger technique videos and handouts, along with business ideas and more.

The video lessons are taught by me, Connie Palmer, Alicia Welcher, Peggy Dilbone and Missy Billingsley. We share all of our special tips and tricks with you on these videos, just like we do at our face-to-face events. Throughout the online course, we will be just a quick email or call away to answer all of your questions.

In order to receive your Martha Pullen teacher’s license, you’ll need to complete some technique samples as well as a handful of the course projects. You’ll have licensing privileges from the day you submit and pass all required projects. What exactly does having this license mean? It means you will share the copyright with Martha Pullen Company for all the projects in this curriculum and their written directions. Whether or not you are interested in teaching, this is a great credential to have.

If you do want to teach, you will be able to teach all of the projects in this curriculum in your own classes and you can make as many copies of the project instructions as you need for your students. It’s your own ready-to-teach curriculum of serger projects!

If you don’t want to teach, the course still has plenty of great perks. Since you’ll co-own the copyright, you’ll be able to make the projects in the curriculum for sale without limit! We have many students who join us who have no plans to teach, but are interested in taking an in-depth course with our licensing staff while receiving a couple dozen exclusive Martha Pullen patterns.

Bonus Knit Baby Daygown and Bonnets

As an added bonus, if you enroll for the course now through April 24, you will also receive my Knit Baby Daygown and Bonnets instructional video absolutely free, along with the shared copyright on the instructions, so you can teach these projects on your own as a licensed Martha Pullen teacher. Update: The deadline to receive this bonus has been extended to Saturday, April 30! This video includes a baby daygown and two bonnets. When I teach this class in person, students pay as much as $75 for the three-hour daygown class, including materials. And they love it! Imagine teaching it yourself to just 10 students … at even just $50 tuition a student, you’ll have covered the cost of your complete Serger, Serger! Online Licensing course. And, you’ll have another 24+ projects, all ready for you to make, share and teach!

This offer is a huge value: you get the video, instructions and the daygown and bonnet patterns, plus the shared copyright – all for free! Don’t miss out on the chance to tie these cute projects into your course planning, or make them by the dozens for gift-giving or for sale. Any way you look at it, now’s the time to enroll in Serger, Serger!

We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.

Much Love to You All & May God Bless,
Kathy McMakin
