Wee One Cuddle® Quilt Kit Giveaway with Shannon Fabrics

Have you heard? Registration is open for several of our 2017 live and in-person events:

Our event partner Shannon Fabrics has sent us the most adorable Wee One Cuddle® Quilt Kits to give away. You guys, this is seriously the softest, plushest, most adorable little baby blanket!

Wee One Heavenly lifestyle IMG_4106m - Copy with logo reduced

In fact, Martha Pullen instructor Connie Palmer likes this quilt so much she is even teaching students how to make it in a special Cuddle® Blanket Workshop at the Original Sewing & Quilt EXPO events this year. You can make the baby-sized blanket in class – a perfect gift any time of year – as you explore Connie’s tried-and-true methods for cutting, stitching and controlling the fuzz (that’s the fun part!). Registration for the workshop is already full in Atlanta, Lakeland and Cleveland (it’s a popular one!), but class registration for other EXPO locations will be available approximately 12 weeks prior to the event date.

We also have another sweet Cuddle® blanket project in store for students at the Heirloom & Beyond: Essentials to Indulgences licensing retreat in Arlington August 18-23.

We hope you’ll make plans to join us at an event this year and sew with these wonderful fabrics.

Be sure to visit the Shannon Fabrics website, too – they have lots of tips and tricks for working with Cuddle® fabric such as Cuddle® 101: tips for Sewing with Cuddle®, Binding with Cuddle® and the Basic Sew and Flip Method.

Now for the Giveaway!

The prize for this giveaway is an adorable soft and plush Wee One Cuddle® Quilt Kit. The kit includes all the fabric (7 pre-cut 5″ strips, backing and binding) you need to make this adorable baby quilt – in the winner’s choice of Heavenly Hippo or Handsome Hippo – as well as the free pattern. This is an easy-to-sew simple strip baby quilt that finishes at 28” x 28” – best of all, little ones are sure to adore it.

Take a closer look at these huggable, happy prints. They’re from the Happy Hippos line designed by Amy Schimler for Robert Kaufman Cuddle®. Aren’t they just the sweetest?

Hi Miss Martha! Well, there is this lovely mum at ballet studio where my daughters attends here in Eagle Idaho, she is a foster care mum, she just returned a precious and lovely little girl back to her mum after almost 6 months, such a hard thing to do. I’d like to make her a blanket for the next baby she foster cares for.. it would be such a blessing and privilege to make for her, care of Miss Martha… ❤️

  27. Rosalie Steiner

For years my daughters favorite Christmas song has been “I want a hippopotamus for christmas” so every year she gets a hippopotamus of some sort or something with a hippopotamus on it. I’ve had to get pretty creative at times to make sure she gets her hippo. She now has a little one of her own, so the hippo blanket would serve two purposes for next Christmas……a hippo for her and a beautiful blanket for him. Weeoneblue

  28. Lisa Wilson Grant

P.S. Congratulations to whoever wins. Martha Pullen products are of the highest quality and the instructions are always impeccable. Have had the privilege of taking one of Martha’s heirloom seminars in Richmond, VA many years ago and she and her teachers are wonderful. Cynthia Guffey is the BEST.

  54. Susan Dempski

I have 2 grandbabies due. A surprise gender in March and a baby boy in June. I have a 10 year old granddaughter who has been mine for only 18 months. She is learning to sew with Gramma and this would be a perfect project for the 2 of us to make for her new baby brother. I have been a Martha Pullen follower for over 30 years. I used to smock and make clothes for my 4 children. Now I’m starting anew with my grand children.

  55. Fran Boreham

I’d love to have it for my “granny” hope chest. My grown babies are just not ready to take that leap yet. Good luck to everyone!

  66. Virginia Bronner

One of each! How can you make a decision without knowing the sex of the baby. They are both adorable. Is it possible to make a kit that is neutral? So here are the hastags #weeoneblue and #weeonepink and #weeoneneutral. Thanks so much for the giveaway.

  67. Shirley Schooley

I will make this to give to our church’s Kids Connection, where baby and children needs are provided for those who cannot provide them for their children. I want the blue, as it can be more easily used for either boys or girls. #WeeOneBlue

  68. Barbara Spencer

I would like to win one of these awesome baby quilt kits to make and donate to my church that has a ministry of providing baby items for single women with babies in need. God has blessed me with a talent of sewing and I want to give back to others in need. I have been making blankets and other items for these babies since 9/11. These babies are the future of America. #weeoneskit/pink

  69. Chris

Our church has a baby shower twice a year for very young expectant mothers who are in ‘the government system’ with no real family to offer them any kind of support–financial or otherwise. We accumulate gently used strollers, cribs, car seats, toys, baby clothes and diapers, formula, etc. to give to these young ladies at a shower that can have as many as 15-20 mothers-to-be. What a great cuddly, gift this would make for one of these new moms! #WeeOneBlue or #WeeOnePink.

  70. Lynn McLean

Would love to win one of the kits! They are so precious. Have a number of friends who are either expecting or have had their babies recently, who this would be perfect to make and give to as a special new baby or shower gift!

  71. Cindy Wagner

This fabric is the ultimate for baby blankets. This would be a gift for my friends new little Grandson that will be arriving soon. #WeeOneBlue.

  72. lynn krcelic

  73. Catherine Sprague

I love the feel of cuddle and know that my niece who is having a girl would just love for me to give her the #weeonepink cuddle blanket. I’m sure if there are other sewers at the baby shower that they might want to make one and go and purchase one of these kits.

  74. Julie-Ann Samuelson

We have a new baby girl in the family who would love this. I believe that any baby would feel loved wrapped in a quilt this soft and cute.

  75. Joanna Dixon

I have two grandchildren getting married this summer, so I’m sure the greats will be coming along soon. #weeonepink

  76. Kim Alston

I would love to win the wee one blue kit for my new grandlittle, Foster! He’s one month old today and I think he needs a cuddle blankie! Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest. Love your cuddle fabrics!❤️

  77. Bobbie Otto

I have made a cuddle quilt for each of my three grandchildren when they were born. My daughter has had a horrible pregnancy and is due in April. She would be tickled to get a cuddle quilt for her little one! (And she sleeps with one every night too)!

  78. Rebecca Read

I made a cuddle blanket for a friend having her baby and my daughter fell in love with it so now i need to make her one! The pink kit would be wonderful to get.

  79. Ilona

Getting my first Grandbaby. Heavenly hippo because I pray we get a girl somewhere in our family, since I have 4 boys. #weeonepink

  80. Linda Maile-Smith

I am always making baby blankets for new moms. I have a special mom that this would be perfect for. #WeeOneBlue.

  81. Deborah N.

There is a couple at our church who are having a baby this Spring. I was not able to give a homemade item to their first child and would like to be able to give them something special for this child. There is also a teacher at our school who is having her first child. Both are having girls, so the pink would be ideal. #WeeOnePink.
