Summer Licensing Event Preview

We have been busy preparing for our 2015 in-person events, and I thought I’d tell you a little more about what we have coming up next on the calendar – our two July teacher licensing events in Palm Harbor, FL. Both of these licensings will be held at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort and your teachers will be Peggy Dilbone, Connie Palmer, Alicia Welcher, Martha Pullen and me. You’ll perfect a whole bunch of sewing tips, tricks and techniques during the week and leave with a ready-to-teach curriculum that you will co-own the copyright to along with Martha Pullen Co. Of course, you don’t have to want to teach sewing to attend a licensing – we have many who just want to spend time with others who love to sew and take home limited edition patterns and projects.

Master beginning to advanced sewing and serging techniques from piecing to shaping trims, working with insertions and entredeux, creating ruffles and more. Projects include a beautiful quilt that incorporates the many techniques you’ll learn, an amazing Christening gown and matching First Communion dress, baby ensembles for both boys and girls, a child’s dress with a matching doll dress, decorator pillows, totes, a backpack and more!

Children’s Garment ConstructionJuly 28-August 2, 2015; Palm Harbor, FL

We are retiring this licensing curriculum this year, so take it while you still can! This licensing will give you 20 children’s garment projects, with the teaching focus on designer-worthy construction techniques. Have you ever wondered how to construct collars, plackets, hem finishes, sleeves and garment closures? We will answer all your questions and give you several easy-to-incorporate variations for each construction detail. The garments are so cute and fall within a range of sizes 2-6 for many of the boy garments and 2-8 for most of the girl garments.

We also have a School of Art Fashion Boutique in Fredericksburg, VA September 28-30 and two more in-person licensing events in Cosa Mesa, CA in November – the Serger II licensing will be November 1-6, and Vintage, Classic, Contemporary will be November 8-13. Vintage, Classic, Contemporary is sold out, but there is a wait list available.

Of course, you can also still sign up through the end of May for our current Heirloom I Online Licensing! This online course is 24/7, so you can watch the video tutorials, work on the projects, ask us questions, etc. all on your own time and in the comfort of your own home.

We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.

Much Love to You All & May God Bless,

Kathy McMakin
