Summer 2016 Licensing Preview!

I know you all love to sew, but have you ever dreamed of doing more with your sewing? Teaching, perhaps? Teaching others how to sew is both fun and rewarding — and when you have a Martha Pullen teacher’s license, you have a whole curriculum of ready-to-teach projects right at your fingertips. We have three licensing events on the calendar this summer — two online and one in-person — and today I’d like to tell you a little more about them:

Serger, Serger! Online Licensing

Serger, Serger! Fundamentals and Creative Flourishes
Now – Sept. 30, Online

Time is running out to sign up for this fabulous online serger course — registration will close on June 30. The curriculum includes more than two dozen beautiful projects. There are garments for children and women, home decor projects, a little doll dress and much, much more.

To receive your license at the end of an online licensing, you just need to complete some technique samples and a handful of the course projects — so you still have plenty of time to enroll and submit your projects, if you’d like to join us for this course!

We have so much fun at our live events!

Vintage Classic Contemporary
July 17-22, Atlanta, GA

How does a sewing vacation sound? You can join me, Peggy Dilbone, Alicia Welcher and Connie Palmer for our in-person licensing retreat in Atlanta next month! This curriculum includes a gorgeous collection of projects. There’s an original Connie Palmer christening gown and companion child’s dress as well as other sweet garments for little ones, pillows, bags, quilts, table linens, organizational items and more.

We have such fun at these licensing retreats, and you’ll take home 20 beautiful kits plus bonus sets of instructions, patterns and embroidery files that you can use with the curriculum.

Heirloom I Online Licensing

Heirloom I
Aug. 15 – Jan. 15, Online

It’s back! Heirloom I has been our most popular online licensing course so far, and we’re so happy to offer it again beginning mid-August. There are more than 20 projects in this curriculum and they are all classic and timeless. There are christening ensembles, bonnets, bibs, a diaper bag and more for baby. There is a linen table runner and placemats and napkins for your home. There are pillows and women’s garments, a beautiful heirloom wedding handkerchief and more. It’s an heirloom sewing dream!

When you complete any Martha Pullen licensing, live or online, you’ll share lifetime co-ownership of that licensing’s curriculum copyright with Martha Pullen Company. That means you can teach the projects in your own classes, make them for resale, enjoy for personal use or sew them to give as gifts. Only those who are licensed in a curriculum can teach or sell these projects.

We have a fun giveaway happening on our blog this week – you can comment on the blog post for a chance to win a Swaddle Kit from Shannon Fabrics, who we partner with for our live and in-person events. Hurry, we’ll pick winners Thursday, June 23!

We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.

Much Love to You All & May God Bless,
Kathy McMakin
