Our Heirloom I Online Licensing begins August 15! This course includes all the projects and techniques taught at our Heirloom I in-person licensing events, but the online licensing format allows you master it all in the comfort of your own home. The curriculum includes the most wonderful collection of ready-to-teach heirloom projects — from garments to home decor projects and more.
There are more than 20 projects total — complete with patterns/written instructions and video tutorials. There are a number of sweet projects for baby, from elegant christening ensembles, bonnets and bibs to a cute hooded baby cape and an expandable diaper bag and changing pad. There are several beautiful pillows showcasing different heirloom techniques as well as a gorgeous Heirloom Sampler Quilt. There’s a lovely table linen ensemble featuring a runner, placemats and napkins. There’s also a wedding handkerchief, a laptop bag, womens nightgowns, a darling little girls dress and more.
We’ll help you master lots of heirloom techniques during the course — again with help from both written instructions and videos — starting with beginning heirloom sewing techniques and then moving on to all sorts of specialty techniques: Madeira appliqué, mitered corners, tucks of all kinds, machine embroidery, smocking in the hoop, Spanish hemstitching, crazy patch, lace shaping, shark’s teeth, cathedral window and more.
The how-to videos for both the projects and techniques will remain on the site for two years. The videos are taught by Connie Palmer, Alicia Welcher, Missy Billingsley, Martha Pullen and me. In addition, there are all kinds of great bonuses, like videos featuring a round table discussion with the licensing team and business ideas from Martha Pullen. Plus, you’ll get more than 20 machine embroidery designs that can be used on your licensed projects!
During the course, the other teachers and I will be available to answer your questions. Plus, you can talk to other students on the discussion board and share your creations in the photo gallery!
To receive your teacher’s license at the end of the course, you’ll need to complete some techniques samples and a handful of the course projects. This license will give you shared copyright ownership with Martha Pullen Company for all the projects in this curriculum and their written directions. That means you can teach the projects in your own classes, make them for resale, or just enjoy making them for yourself or as special gifts. Only those who are licensed in a curriculum can teach or sell these projects.
I invite you to join us for this fun sewing experience! Click here to learn more and register for Heirloom I Online Licensing.
Want to join us for a live and in-person event this summer? We’re heading to Atlanta later this month for our Vintage, Classic, Contemporary Licensing, and we’re staying on a couple days for a Martha Pullen Weekend Extravaganza July 23 and 24. Join me, Alicia Welcher, Connie Palmer, Peggy Dilbone and Libby Ashcraft for one or both days of this fun event — there will be shopping, sewing sessions with Connie and Libby and more!
We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.
Much Love to You All & May God Bless,
