Alicia, me, Connie and Peggy

We are heading to Atlanta, GA July 17-22 for our next face-to-face Martha Pullen event – our Vintage, Classic, Contemporary Licensing Retreat – and we would love to have you join us! The event will be taught by me, Alicia Welcher, Connie Palmer and Peggy Dilbone. We premiered this curriculum last fall, and the assortment of projects includes such a great collection of styles and designs ranging from traditional to elegant to sweet to sassy and beyond. Think classic items with piping and tucks, and contemporary designs with bias trims and rick rack!

Receive over two dozen projects

There are nearly two dozen projects total, including a Connie Palmer original Christening gown and companion child’s dress that are absolutely exquisite, two baby daygowns, other sweet children’s clothes, a serger technique travel pillow and really great placemats and napkins. There’s a big ole’ tote, a couple of quilts, a decorative pillow, organizational items and more.

Of course, you’ll discover and perfect an entire collection of sewing tips, tricks and techniques during your week with us. We’ll work with lace and entredeux, spaghetti bias, folded bias, ribbons, piping, buttons, rick rack and more. You’ll learn all about several quilting techniques, tucks of all kinds, decorative stitches, bobbin work, Madeira appliqué, piping, trapunto, crazy patch, traditional appliqué, serging techniques and more. We’ll even show you how to embellish with specialty machines like the Sashiko and the needle punch or felting machine.

You’ll take home 20 beautiful kits plus several bonus sets of instructions and patterns, embroidery files that you can use with the curriculum and more. And of course, your teacher’s license will give you lifetime co-ownership of the curriculum copyright with Martha Pullen Company. That means you have a wonderful curriculum all ready for you to teach in your own classes, make for resale, enjoy for personal use or give as special handmade gifts. Only those students who are licensed in a particular curriculum can sell or teach these special projects.

Discover and perfect techniques

If you have no plans to use these projects for business, that’s OK too! I have people all the time tell me they would love to spend a week with us sewing, but they just don’t want to teach. We actually have many who come just to explore new sewing skills, spend quality time with others who love to sew and, of course, take home limited edition Martha Pullen patterns and projects.

We truly have so much fun at these events, and I invite you to join us. You can learn more and register for Atlanta’s Vintage, Classic, Contemporary face-to-face licensing retreat here.

Of course, you can also still sign up for our current ONLINE licensing course too, Serger, Serger! Fundamentals and Creative Flourishes. Don’t worry, you haven’t missed anything. The course runs until Sept. 30, and since it’s online, you can complete everything on your own schedule!

We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.

Much Love to You All & May God Bless,
Kathy McMakin
