Registration is now open for our brand new online licensing, Children’s Garment Construction. Offered for the first time online, the course begins Oct. 25 and includes all the projects and techniques taught at our popular face-to-face retreat. The curriculum features the most darling collection of children’s garments, with the teaching focus on all the distinctive construction details and techniques. Think Peter Pan collars, whimsical trims, ruffles, piping, smocking and so much more!
There are more than 30 projects total included in the curriculum — complete with both patterns / written instructions and video tutorials. The garments fall within a range of sizes 2-6 for many of the boy garments, and 2-8 for most of the girl garments.
The girl projects include two heirloom dresses, two jumpers, a sundress, a hand smocked dress (with a matching doll dress), a smocking-in-the-hoop yoke dress, a high yoke slip, adorable playtime ensembles and more.
The boy projects include a little jon-jon, several shirt-and-pant sets, a camp shirt, pajamas, a classic button-on suit and more.
There are even several accessory items, like a backpack, a purse, a headband … even cute apron and chef hat ensembles!
In addition to the more than 30 projects, you’ll also receive more than 15 exclusive machine embroidery designs, in all file formats, that you can use on your licensed projects. Do you have to use them? No – but it is nice to have a set of machine embroidery designs you can use on your projects if desired!
And oh all the techniques you will learn! We’ll help you master dozens of wonderful techniques during the course — again with both written instructions and video tutorials. We’ll start with beginning techniques and work our way through all kinds of beautiful specialty techniques like lace shaping, plackets, covering buttons, Whimsy Stick flowers, tucks, smocking in the hoop, Madeira appliqué and much, much more.
The how-to videos for the projects and techniques are taught by Connie Palmer, Missy Billingsley, Sis Hutchison, Alicia Welcher and me. Plus, there are several bonus videos featuring business ideas from Martha Pullen and more. We had such fun taping these videos for you. We truly share all of our extra tips and tricks with you on these videos, just like we would if you were joining us for an in-person event. We’ll be available to answer any question you have during the course, plus you’ll be able to chat and share with the other students via a discussion board and image gallery.
To receive your teacher’s license at the end of the course, you’ll need to complete a handful of the course projects. This license will give you shared copyright ownership with Martha Pullen Co. for all the projects in this curriculum and their written directions. That means you can teach the projects in your own classes, make them for resale, or just enjoy making them for yourself or to give as special gifts. Only those who are licensed in a curriculum can teach or sell these exclusive Martha Pullen projects.
I invite you to join us for this fun experience! Click here to register for our Children’s Garment Construction Online Licensing.
We pray for the men and women serving our nation in harm’s way, and for all of you.
