Behind the Scenes of ‘Sewing for Baby’

Lights, camera, licensing!

We have a treat for you all today: a behind-the-scenes look at our brand new Sewing for Baby online licensing course! Enjoy a video interview with our team of Martha Pullen instructors—Kathy McMakin, Missy Billingsley, Connie Palmer and Alicia Welcher—plus see photos from the course taping, learn about the projects and more. We hope you enjoy this special look at the licensing and all the fun we had creating it for you!

Press play on the video below to learn all about the Sewing for Baby licensing, straight from Kathy, Missy, Connie and Alicia. They’re dishing on their favorite projects, what makes this course so special and more.

The Sewing for Baby curriculum includes 30+ precious projects for baby, ranging from gorgeous heirlooms to cute gifts. There are two beautiful christening gowns, coordinating “bonnet, bib and booties” collections, a baby quilt and so much more. There are even two projects for expecting mothers: a maternity blouse and a nursing gown. With help from both video tutorials and written patterns/directions, our instructors will introduce the basics to you and then, project by project, help you master all the techniques in this curriculum.

Kathy, Missy, Connie and Alicia taped all the video tutorials for the course earlier this year. Here are a few photos from the set, along with a closer look at some of the projects. Can you tell how much fun we had?

The online licensing learning experience is incredibly convenient, and you can rest assured that our team of instructors will be just a click or call away to answer any questions you might have about projects, patterns, techniques and teaching methods. To earn your Martha Pullen Teacher License, you’ll submit photos of four projects (some assigned, some your choice) along with four specific technique samples.

Once you have your license, you’ll co-own the copyright with Martha Pullen Co. for the written instructions/patterns for the 30+ projects included in the Sewing for Baby licensing. That means you’ll be able to copy the exclusive materials to share with your students if you choose to teach, make the projects for sale without limit or sew them for fun. Whatever you hope to achieve, we invite you to join us!

I would love to take this course but I do not have an embroidery machine. Is this course possible with just a regular sewing machine? Thanks

SO looking forward to this course. I have learned many new techniques from previous classes; I hope to prefect some techniques and learn more from these wonderful teachers.

If you are hesitant, DO NOT BE! With easy to follow directions and help every step of the way, you will become a devotee to the on-line classes and learn SO VERY much. Should you have a chance to take “face to face” classes, trust me, you will share many fun times and giggles.

    Theses ladies are a delight!
