Have you heard the good news? Martha is coming back to Arlington, TX this August for our Heirloom & Beyond: Essentials to Indulgences face-to-face licensing! We are so happy! Don’t miss your chance to see Martha over several days and share in the joy she brings to our sewing world; not only will she be there to see everyone, she’ll offer her business class, pose for individual and group pictures and have a few words for the group at the closing banquet. Then, she’ll also be at the Arlington Original Sewing & Quilt EXPO, which will take place immediately following the licensing retreat. What could be better?

Martha Pullen

We talked to Martha this week about her return; she told us how excited she is about the trip and indicated how special it is to be returning to Texas to see everyone. She quoted James 1:17, which says “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like the shifting shadows.”

“It will be a joy for me to return to Arlington Convention Center, this time with another show,” Martha said. “I loved producing Martha’s Sewing Room there for over 15 years, I think! I cannot wait to see some of the ladies and gentlemen who have been coming for all of those years. I will also participate in the teacher licensing for two days as well as teach several times at their fabulous OSQE show. So I’m coming with bells on, and I surely hope to see many of you there!”

Heirloom & Beyond: Essentials to Indulgences will take place August 18-23, 2017 (Martha will join us the 21st through 23rd). This week-long sewing retreat features a fabulous curriculum with more than 20 wonderful projects and kits developed by our Martha Pullen licensing team. You’ll love learning from the course instructors — Peggy Dilbone, Kathy McMakin, Connie Palmer and Alicia Welcher — as you fill your days with hands-on sewing, lots of fun and memories to last a lifetime. Of the 20 project kits you will receive, the vast assortment of styles and designs forms a wonderful collection of projects. Sometimes we want a detailed project that stretches our skills a bit and yields the most impressive, detailed results; other times we’re ready for quick and clever, so we can always have a hand-made gift at the ready. That’s why this series of projects provides both, and everything in between. There’s everything from clever new bags, totes and purses; to home décor and organizational accessories; to garments for children, adults and even dolls; to wonderful gift items. Click here to learn more and register for Heirloom & Beyond: Essentials to Indulgences.

The Arlington Original Sewing and Quilt EXPO will take place in the same venue immediately following the licensing retreat on August 24-26. Martha will join us the 24th and 25th, where she’ll share stories on the EXPO stage, teach her famous lace shaping class and teach her business class. In addition, several other members of the Martha Pullen team will be teaching classes at the EXPO as well: Kathy, Alicia and Connie! If you would like us to send you an email notification when registration opens for the EXPO, click here.

See you in Arlington!
