20. Cross-Tucked Embroidered Blouse

Sometimes I see a piece of Victorian clothing which is so perfect for today and today's modern embroidery machines. This white Swiss batiste blouse is such a piece. The crossed tucks are beautiful on the bodice. The dress buttons up the front. Within each square is either a five-petal flower or a dot of hand embroidery. If you have an embroidery machine, this type of cross-tucking is the perfect way to have a palette for little embroidery designs. The blouse buttons up the front. The collar has more of the cross-tucked squares with flowers and dots. The top of the collar is finished with narrow white French edging. The sleeves have the same design and once again gathered white French edging finishes the bottom of the sleeve.
