18. Medallion Sleeveless Netting Dress

This little girl's dress of cotton netting is so pretty and totally hand-made. The collar has embroidery and eyelets stitched around the collar. Hand-made Battenburg lace is stitched around the bottom of the collar. The skirt has hand-embroidered medallions with hand-made Battenberg lace in the center of the medallions. Four tucks are below these circular medallions. More hand-made Battenburg lace is in a straight strip below these four tucks. Four tucks finish the bottom of the dress. A silk lining is built into the dress and attached at the shoulder. This dress has a very unusual feature around the neckline. Little silk ribbons have been attached. The delicate colors of the silk ribbon are lavender, pink, ecru, gray and green. The dress closes with a placket in the back, buttons and loops.
