Sewing for summer is the focus of this colorful and airy issue, with pictorials from The Children’s Corner and Oliver + S offering inspiration for combining fabric, patterns and embellishments in fun and unique ways. Feature sections include Casual Cottons and Heirloom Embellishments, with a special emphasis in several articles on sewing with netting fabric and adapting favorite Sew Beautiful Collection Patterns. Free pattern is a sweet two-piece smocked peasant top and Capri pant in linen from designer Kathy Dykstra.

October/November #151
This year’s late autumn edition combines the best of sewing for both fall and Christmas, making it a must-have issue for all your seasonal stitching needs. Features include women’s heirloom-inspired fashion and girls’ holiday dresses, along with exclusive smocking plates and gift ideas. Free pattern is a beautiful red silk dress with a lace collar from designer Gail Doane.

December/January #151
This issue will offer a few last-minute ideas for holiday preparations, but will focus on sewing for winter in wool challis, long sleeves and more. Free pattern includes a vintage-inspired wool coat from designer Laurie Anderson with a matching bishop, and sweet ideas for classic pajamas are also a feature. Also included is a special selection of Valentine’s Day ideas in plenty of time to finish a new frock for your little sweetheart.
